Our Story

In 1998 I finally admitted to myself that I had become an alcoholic. Since then it has been a long and hard war. Many battles were lost during this time but the main war wasn’t over. During this time I had lived in many different recovery homes and always dreamed of opening my own that would focus on privacy, cleanliness, support, and accountability. My addiction got worse until finally I had enough on Oct. 4 2022. Within the first year of sobriety, I completed Henrico County Drug Court. At the same time, all 9th step promises started rapidly coming true for me. I got happily married, received a restricted drivers license, held two jobs, and restored relationships and trust. People that see me today cant believe how drastically and rapidly I changed. I tell everyone that the credit for my heart change goes to Jesus and my loving wife. Today, I want to tell the whole world that sobriety is possible, that it is worth it, and that dreams really do come true.
